Survival Story of a Man Trapped at the Bottom of the Atlantic Ocean for 3 Days

In one of the greatest survivals ever, this one man, Harrison Okene, survived underwater for 60 long hours, that’s almost 3 days!

In May 2013, a tugboat with a crew of 12, was moving across the coast of Nigeria, towing an oil tanker when a sudden tough wave snapped the towing rope and capsized the vessel at about 4.30 a.m.

Crew members were fast asleep in their locked chambers (locked due to pirates in the region), unfortunately, no one survived! Okene, although, was in the bathroom, and was tossed about his cabin when the boat was sinking. However, when the boat landed on the ocean bed, he managed to find an air bubble. Finding a mattress and a bottle of Coca-Cola, Okene somehow managed to survive for 60 long hours, before the rescue team came finding the bodies! Check out his rescue video here:

After being rescued, he thought himself to be stuck for a day, until later when he was told that it had been more than 2 whole days! He still thanks God for this miracle!
