Raasta’s Chef Sukanto Shares The Recipe For Piro Aloo - A Nepali Appetiser With Us

Aloo’s everyone’s favourite vegetable. The most beautiful part about it is that it can be cooked in several different and delicious ways. Today we have for you an Nepali dish made out of Potatoes! YES! Raasta Mumbai’s Head Chef, Chef Sukanto, has shared his scrumptious recipe of Piro Aloo for us to try at home during lockdown! Check it out:

Preparation Time - 15 Minutes

Serves - 2 People

Ingredients:

1. Mustard Oil 20ml
2. Chopped Onion 60gm
3. Mustard Seed 10gm
4. Ginger 15gm
5. Garlic 20gm
6. Salt to taste
7. Chilly Fakes 5gm
8. Fresh Tomato Puree 1 00gm
9. Green Chilli Paste 10gm
10. Boiled Potato 5 00gm
11. Jeera Powder 20gm
12. Chopped Coriander Leaf 20gm

Instructions:

Step 1. Fry the Boiled Potatoes

Step 2. Take oil in a pan and add mustard seeds and chilli flakes. Add onions and stir till they are golden brown.

Step 3. Add all other ingredients apart from the potatoes and toss them.

Step 4. Add potatoes and toss

Step 5. Sprinkle coriander and enjoy this traditional Nepali Delicacy
