Light and Crispy Homemade Waffle Recipe for all the Waffle Cravers

Are you a waffle lover? Finding difficulty in ending your craving this lockdown? Just relax! We have the best way out for you to go on making homemade waffles. And that too, without the waffle maker! Yes, you read it right. Waffles without the machine aka full-on home-made.

Ingredients:

Method:

  1. Add 1½ cup of milk, 2 tbsp lemon juice in a bowl and mix well. Leave it to sit for at least 10 minutes.
  2. Now add ¼ cup + 2tbsp melted butter and 1 tsp vanilla essence and mix well with a wooden spoon.
  3. Take another bowl and add 2 cups maida/flour, 4 tsp baking powder, ¼ cup of powdered sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon powder which is optional, and mix it with the help of a whisker.
  4. Now mix the ingredients of the two bowls together and mix well.
  5. Once we have that batter, add ⅓ cup hot water to it and again mix well.
  6. Take one spoon of the batter, add it to the regular sandwich griller greased with melted butter.
  7. Grill it for around 5-7 minutes and once it is hard and crisp from one side, flip it over to another.
  8. Serve with toppings like Nutella or scoop of your favorite ice cream.
