Curried egg Croque is French Press Café’s take on a classic dish called the Croque Monsieur, which is basically a sandwich filled with ham and topped with gratinated gruyere cheese. Curried Egg Croque is filled with a creamy filling of boiled egg and topped with gratinated mozzarella cheese, vegetarians can go for alternative fillings like grilled bell peppers seasoned with pesto, creamy mushrooms, etc.

Instructions:
Step-1: Boil the eggs, boiling time is approximately 8-10 minutes if you want a hard-boiled egg. For soft boiled eggs, boil the eggs for 6 minutes.
Step-2: Once the eggs are boiled, strain them and pour cold water on them. Let them rest for a while then peel them and chop them in small cubes.
Step-3: For the egg filling, add around four big spoons of mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, tabasco sauce, cream, salt, crushed black pepper, pizza spice mix, and chopped eggs, mix them well.
Step-4: Take 2 slices of bread and toast them in a toaster. You can also use an OTG (oven toaster griller), take the bread slices, and fill them with the egg filling that was prepared before.
Step-5: Make sure that you don’t overfill the sandwich and then press the two loaves of bread gently. Spread the bechamel sauce on the top layer of bread evenly and also spread it on the sides, spread mozzarella all over the bread and then sprinkle pizza premix over it.
Step-6: Preheat your OTG oven to 250 degrees and select only the upper element of OTG to be turned on, gratinate (toast) the sandwich in the OTG until the cheese melts and also browns a bit, take the croquet out and cut it into two halves serve it with french fries and you are ready to enjoy it.
