Since we can't head outside right during the lockdown and get professional service, it's best that we tackle our toe needs from the convenience of our own bathrooms. Thankfully, it's not that hard to master an amazing at-home pedicure, especially if you've got expert nail technician, the Senior Beautician Pooja Chauhan, who is the Owner of Bellerizza Unisex Salon, Chandigarh giving you step-by-step instructions like the ones below.

Step-1: Soak

Take half bucket lukewarm water, add 1 tbsp of baking soda or white vinegar to cleanse and tone. Add a few slices of lemon and take out all dirt from your feet. Soak for 10-15 mins. Take a foot scrubber to rub your feet to shed off all dead skin and pat dry.

Step-2: Scrub

Exfoliate your feet for 5 mins with a paste of scrub having 2 tbsp of honey, 3 tbsp of raw milk and 1 tbs of sugar for better exfoliation. Wash your feet and pat dry feel fresh and clean.

Step-3: Moisturise

Make your moisturizer by adding 1 Vit E capsule to coconut oil (optional add a few drops of lavender oil for aroma) & massage your legs.To destress, massage the arches of your feet by working your thumbs in with firm pressure. Clean your feet with a dry towel.

You can finish and adore your feet with the nail color of your favorite shade. You may or may not follow this step as it’s optional.

Few Tips:

  • Before starting pedicure, remove nail paint from your toes it will help nails to breathe and have better results
  • If your feet are aching then add 1 tbsp of salt or a few drops of eucalyptus oil to get rid of the pain.
  • To soften your cuticles you can apply vaseline before soaking your feet.
  • If you have cracked heels apply vaseline with a few drops of lime on your feet and wear cotton soak for overnight after the pedicure.

To keep your pedicure last longer, wash and moisturize your feet regularly.
